The Pansy Antique Shades, `Viola wittrockiania,' is a lovely mix of pansies in colors including baby yellow, peach, burgundy, rust and cream. This is an Early Giant type and the flowers are three inches in size. This variety, with its soft colors, is an easy choice for many pansy lovers. Although they are technically perennials grown as annuals, pansies will overwinter in climates as cold as zone four. The seeds should be planted in late summer to early fall in warm climates. The Antique Shades pansy will work well in locations where some late fall or early spring color is desired.
