The Arrowwood Viburnum, `Viburnum dentatum,' has a dense and multi-stemmed habit with arching branches. This deciduous shrub will grow to from six to eight feet in height, and may reach fifteen feet under optimal conditions. Its foliage is a glossy, dark green color, and will have yellow, red and purple fall colors. It is able to withstand high pH, heavy soils and various climactic conditions, including some tolerance to salt. This is an adaptable and hardy shrub, and its many suckers must be pruned back to maintain compactness in the plants.
