The Stachys Big Ears Lamb's Ear, `Stachys byzntina Helen von Stein,' in most known for its soft, fuzzy foliage silvery green in color. It has a wonderful effect on any garden, and features spikes of small, purplish pink flowers. With a plant height of ten inches and a spread of up to two feet, this variety is somewhat larger than most other types of Lamb's Ear. Blooming in mid summer, it will add texture and color in rock gardens, and looks wonderful with Veronica `Goodness Grows,' or other purple blooming perennials.
