The Lettuce Butterhead Speckles, `Lactuca sativa,' is an Heirloom variety that came from Germany and Holland over two hundred years ago. The leaves have an unusual speckling, and the tender, mild, and thick but soft leaves will add visual interest as well as fantastic flavor to any salad.
