The Houttuynia Chameleon Plant, `Houttoynia cordata,' is one of the most commonly grown ground covers around. Its small, white flowers appear from July through August, but are often hard to see. This extremely hardy ground cover is easy to grow but may become very invasive. This plant has a somewhat citrus like scent when it is crushed. They should be used as a ground cover, in rock gardens, with water plants or in scented gardens.
