Cherry Belle Radish


The Radish Cherry Belle, `Raphanus sativus,' features a mild flavor that is great if eaten fresh, in salads or in sandwiches. Its solid white flesh makes it a very popular radish. Growing beds during the cool periods of spring and fall, this variety can even be grown indoors during the winter months. The flower pods of this radish plant are edible and will bloom in the shade. The radishes should be harvested when they are one inch in diameter. When the radishes are allowed to get bigger, they become pithy and hot.
