Indian Spring Hollyhock

The Hollyhock Indian Spring, `Alcea rosea,' produces tall towers of three to six inch, old-fashioned flowers in colors of yellow, purple, pink, white and red. This plant looks fantastic when grown against a fence or wall. This Hollyhock will begin to flower in the early summer and continue to do so for up to three months. It will look great as a background screen, and the flowers, as well as being edible, make great cut or dried flowers. The seeds should be planted in early summer, however, planting them too early will result in losing their perennial habit.
