The Echinacea Magnus Coneflower, `Echinacea purpurea,' is also called the Purple Coneflower, Hedge Coneflower or Black Sampson. This is an easy to grow flower that produces beautiful deep purple, daisy-like flowers that are a bit larger than the rest of its family. This plant was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 1998, and it is easy to see why.
