May Night Salvia


The Salvia May Night, `Salvia nemorosa Mainacht,' features glowing purple stems that are loaded with violet purple flowers from June through October. It grows to a height of eighteen inches with a spread of up to two feet and is very compact. Its blue-gray lance shaped aromatic foliage makes a wonderful accent during the summer. This plant is hardy for container gardening, as well as providing excellent cut flowers. Its blooms look fantastic next to Sedum `Matrona,' Achillea `Coronation Gold,' and Salvia `Snow Hill.' This Salvia was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 1997.
