Michihli Chinese Cabbage

The Cabbage Chinese Michihli, `Brassica rapa (Pekinensis Group),' has a texture that fits somewhere in between lettuce and cabbage. Its flavor is so sweet and mild compared to regular cabbage, that it can actually be used raw in salads. Its leaves also do not cause digestion problems like regular cabbage. This cabbage is perfect for growing in five-gallon containers. Cabbage prefers a rich, moist and well draining soil high in organic matter. The heads should be harvested once they firm up and are solid, but not too hard.
