New Kurodo Asian Carrot

The Carrot Asian New Kurodo, `Daucus carota var. staivus,' is one of the sweetest carrots you will even eat. Very popular in the Orient, Kurodo is quite heat resistant, so the seeds can be easily planted in the late spring, while other carrots should be planted much earlier. This variety of carrot has smooth, tapered roots that grow to about eight inches long with two-inch shoulders. They grow best in a soil that is mixed with fifty percent peat moss, and good moisture is essential to healthy growth.
