The Platycodon Sentimental Blue Balloon Flower, `Platycodon grandiflorum,' produces blue, balloon like flowers. This low growing perennial flowers from late May until early August. Deadheading the flowers will encourage an extended bloom time. This plant works best as a border for a perennial garden, or used as a cut flower. This plant is pest resistant and needs very little care. Make sure to mark its location, as this plant is very late to come up in the spring.
