Sweet Woodruff


The Galium Sweet Woodruff, `Galium odoratum,' will bloom from late spring into early summer with its delicate white flowers. This new ground cover has dark green foliage that looks great when the plants are in bloom. The leaves become somewhat fragrant when they are dried. These plants grow to a height of up to one foot with an equal mature spread. Tolerable of morning shade, these plants prefer full sunlight and require a moist, well draining soil to thrive. In warmer climates, however, more shade will be required. This plant is great as an edging perennial or as a ground cover to grow beneath shrubs.
