Annuals: Other Annuals

Tiny Mice Cuphea

The Cuphea Tiny Mice, or `Cuphea llavea,' has an upright habit and flowers all season long. This Proven Selections plant can be used as a landscape or ornamental plant. The unusual vibrant red and purple flowers resemble mouse ears, and are produced from spring through fall, attracting butterflies. These unique flowers will not be bothered at all by summer heat. The stems will become slightly woody and arching. They should be placed in well drained soils, and early summer pinching will promote branching. In zones nine through eleven, these flowers can become ever blooming perennials.
