White Sweet Spanish Onion Bunching

The Onion Bunching White Sweet Spanish, `Allium fistulosum,' produces delicate stems with sweet, juicy tops that cannot be resisted by onion lovers. This particular variety will also form a small, globe-shaped white onion. If an onion is harvested before it has the chance to bulb, it is referred to as a scallion. When onions such as this type are bunched together, they will produce small or no onion bulbs, but the scallions produced are milder, juicier and sweeter tasting than those of regular, full sized onion bulbs. Scallions can be harvested at any time during the growing season, provided they have not yet begun to bulb.
